Feeling Blue

Feeling Blue is a quiet meditation on our digital age, a moment of reflection on how digital communication often outweighs real conversation. At the same time, the work poses a gentler question: do we truly understand what unfolds behind those screens? We see young people absorbed in their phones and judge quickly, yet rarely know what they actually experience there. The screen is both window and wall, a source of connection and a carrier of unrest. How much of the world, with all its beauty and sorrow, reaches our minds through that small glow of light? And how do we learn to live with it? This work is painted in oils on linen, stretched over a reused painting frame, and prepared with a traditional, homemade gesso base.
